Organic, Fair Trade & Rain Forest Alliance. Mountain Water Process Decaf. This is our seasonal decaf that we source from Mexico or Guatemala.

Country: Guatemala

All of the flavor and none of the caffeine. Enjoy the taste of the tropical jungle without worrying about your goodnight’s sleep. This coffee will take you on a silky journey with an orange twist and a finish of brown sugar. ASOBAGRI or The Asociacion Barillense de Agricultores was founded in 1989 by 20 Mayan coffee and cardamom farmers. It currently has more than 1,200 cooperative members. The members of ASOBAGRI are from approximately 30 small villages in the Huehuetenango region, surrounded by the Cuchumantanes Mountains and the Maxbal Forest Reserve.

This coffee is shade-grown under guava, plantain, and banana trees. ASOBAGRI promotes sustainable agriculture by training its farmers in organic production methods and they continue to reinvest in their infrastructure while exploring new quality control measures through financing and operating their warehouses and drying patios. With this decaf, we assure you will be able to sleep like a sloth! So brew it well, and brew it slow.

This decaf comes mostly from the Chiapas region. We source royal water decaf by evaluating the green coffee and select each lot basis our quality standards. After selection, the green coffee is pre-soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The beans are then introduced to a solution concentrated with coffee solubles that extract the caffeine without extracting the coffee's particular flavor.
