Oyster Shell Ring Dish

Large Louisiana oyster shell dish.

These oysters are large ( 4-5 inches in length ) and have a nice round shape (2-3 inches wide) which makes them perfect for jewelry storage as a trinket dish or just as coastal décor. The oysters were harvested in Louisiana just outside of New Orleans. I decoupage each shell and then gild the edges with liquid gold paint. Each shell is finished with a protective water-resistant finish.
